producer holger behn aka h.o.s.h. is back on stil vor talent with his third release and second 12 inch on oliver koletzkis imprint. his latest two tracks are all about house music, while always keeping a strict eye on the dancefloor. it starts with the tech-house anthem >grünanlage<, the name of a sunday afternoon open air in h.o.s.h.s hometown hamburg that he co-organises. the tune features a great clappy snare and some wonderful balearic guitar melodies, which swing over the fast loop. this tune is going to put a smile on your face wherever you are. on the flip there is >blaupause<, which translates as blueprint and is a dreamy housy pusher that keeps grooving with its synthie-stabs and warm bassline. later in the track h.o.s.h. adds an oldschool piano that pushes the track into another state with its drifting melody. it reminds us of so very many great rave moments. however, h.o.s.h. never gives in to the temptation of drifting off into cheese, stays cool at any given moment and keeps the seal of quality for his music very high. >blaupause< is a wonderful summery teaser that never explodes, but keeps imploding! h.o.s.h. once again does what he does best: delivering two wonderfully melodic tracks that fluctuate perfectly between house and techno. just the way we like it

alfred azzetto is back on purple music with the feel good massive anthem colors, which was one of the most played promo cuts at this year winter music conference. interestingly djs all the time played an acapella over it but also the instrumental melody sounds great. part one includes the walterino main mix is a fierce production featuring classic strings and wicked keys that give the track a modern disco sound, while the piano mix is on a deeper edge, with a great piano hook added (that is reminiscent of bas noir my love is magic). part two includes a full vocal mix & the remixes from dj fopp & christian hornbostel, which will be out end of october. it was worth to wait some months for the release of this tune!

who needs an obtrusively acting kickdrum, when the decent wobbling bassline of breezin does the job just as good. right nobody. or, at least peter grummich (shitkatapult/ spectral/kompakt) doesnt, whose proverbial deepness constantly gets the floors into rapturous body rolling. thus it was just a question of time to welcome this man to karloff, the label for everything thats different. here, all medium dated orientation to felt (rather than experienced) standards is gladly left to other persons of great hope, whilst enjoying the border crossing between dorky monkeyshine and serious spirit of adventure. consequently, quick thinking misbehaviour is also the attitude of the (for formal reasons called) b side, where the horizon gets canvassed for both weird and life affirming sounds, in grasp of the groove. summarizing dance music to breathe deeply.
